I love looking at the world through my camera lenses. With a simple click you can capture a fleeting glimpse of beauty, and look at it every time you want. Don’t you find it wonderful?
This is what I found beautiful lately, in no particular order. Enjoy!
My cat Cleo staring at the window. I had to stalk her for a considerable amount of time to capture her magnetic green eyes. It was worth it, though.
Sleeping beauties, cuddling up.
Swans at the Estuary, Malahide.
More swans, their wings half raised to ward off intruders.
Pink peonies. I love peonies for their delicate, romantic beauty and their wonderful scent.
More pink peonies, hydrangea petals and pebbles from Greystones beach.
A ray of sunshine hitting a lovely magenta peony
Malahide beach on a Sunday morning, at low tide.
Howth Summit: blooming gorsebush, and the lighthouse
Portmarnock beach, sunshine soon after the rain
Portmarnock, a rainbow over the sea. I chased rainbows for over an hour, and at last I got my reward!

Thanks for the beautiful images Cristina, it brightened my day!
You’re welcome Jenny, I’m so happy to know that
Howth Summit – because it reminds me of home and I’m feeling in need of returning. My home looks nothing like this, I’m from flat East Anglia, but it reminds me of English coastline.

Hi Sue, I guess that living in a hot climate makes you crave for England all right! The English coastline is so beautiful, I only visited Yorkshire (Robin Hood bay is amazing!) but I’m looking forward to seeing more of it.
Thanks for stopping by
I love the peonies! So delicate and perfect. Cleo is perfect, too — and nice that she actually cooperated so you could get her photo!

Thanks Natasha. It took a lot of time to get Cleo to cooperate – she tends to turn her head at the last minute – but my patience was rewarded. I love her portrait too
Malahide beach! It reminds me of the beautiful beaches of the North Sea in Germany, where the tide stretches over miles. Love the images.

Thank you carissima
Before moving to Ireland I’d only visited places in the Mediterranean and I didn’t know how beautiful the beach can be at low tide… I love it, it fascinates me.
Cristina,
My favorite photo is of the two cats sleeping together! They are all beautiful photos though. I also love peonies.

I love the close-up of the peony-rose. May I ask, what camera you use?
Hi PepeB, I use a Nikon D5000 and use two lenses: 18 – 55 mm and 55-200. I’d love to buy a macro lens, but I’ll have to wait a bit longer…
I will definitely share this with people I know. Really all beautiful pictures it’s really hard to choose which one I like the most, but if I have to choose I will definitely choose the “Sleeping beauties, cuddling up” because that one is the cutest. Keep on the good work!
