Yesterday I took a much deserved break from all the packing & organising, and looked for inspiring bedroom décors. In a few weeks we’ll move to a new house and I’m looking forward to all the decorating – obviously! It’ll be some time before I share photos of my new house with you though, so for now let’s look at other people’s lovely bedrooms, shall we?

- Airy, luminous, uncluttered, plenty of white and a few chosen accessories to add interest – what’s not to like? The large windows make a great headboard.

- Lots of white, softened by natural texture. Lovely vintage pieces give this room character, and the soft furnishings give it a welcoming, calm feel.

- I love the shapes in this bedroom – triangles, circles and squares all come together harmoniously. With that circular window and muted blue feature wall, the bed doesn’t even need a headboard.

- If your bedroom has a high ceiling, a four poster bed can look stunning; however what I like most in this bedroom is the combination of blue & green, and all that beautiful light.

- Another pretty four poster bed. Blue is a very relaxing colour, perfect for a bedroom; the white & blue stripes add a fresh, beach house look to the décor.

- Another lovely colour combination: powder blue and lavender. Simple scheme with a romantic, feminine feel.

- Off-whites, natural texture for the headboard, and a touch of green & blue – gorgeous.

- White and grey, and plenty of texture for a relaxed, serene look.

Cristina,
I adore all white bedrooms. They feel so serene and relaxing. I’m especially partial to the cottage like rooms with beadboard and exposed beams. Beautiful!
Glad you’re taking a bit of a break from the packing to share with us. I can’t wait to see what your new home looks like.
xoxo,
Angela

Hi Angela, we’ll go house hunting next week – I cannot wait!
I’m most inspired by photo 1 & 3 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have a seed of faith that one day I will be a designer for my home. I’ve thought of taking some interior design classes
I can see lovely design, but it doesn’t turn out the same when I do it myself.
These photos are beautiful!
Very exciting your about your new home! Hope it’s pure joy – getting settled in and and designing it to feel like home.

Thank you Aileen
When we’re settled in the new home I’d like to get back to writing and create an e-book (or e-course) in interior design, maybe you’ll like that.
Beautiful ! Beautiful! Beautiful I stay in a Cape cod style house and my house is all beach style. Our bedroom has exposed beams which is such a lovely feature.
I enjoy looking to see what other people do.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Enjoy your new home.
Di
Thank you Diana
I love exposed beams, they bring so much character to a room…my new home doesn’t have them, so I’ll have to to think of something to make it interesting – it’ll be fun!
