Interior inspiration: kitchens

by Cristina Colli

Today I’m sharing  some pictures of kitchens I like. I guess that by now you’ve all realised that I love white interiors, so these are mostly white kitchens; however, different details and design choices give a unique feeling to each space. Let’s have a look:

The glass blocks wall makes this kitchen airy and bright; I like the central island with the breakfast area, and the tall oven - very practical.

Lovely natural texture warms up this contemporary kitchen; I like the exposed beams and the baskets - perfect to gather all those small items you want to keep out of sight.

Fold-in doors hide away all the mess behind the sink - very clever! Beautiful parquet on the floor, and pleasant warm accents in the dining area.

Another contemporary kitchen warmed up with the natural texture of wood. I love the red kilim runner, and the technical lighting.

A beautiful country kitchen with distressed cupboard doors and a huge old-fashioned stove - cosy yet bright and luminous. I love the butcher block table, it would look great in a contemporary kitchen too.

Which kitchen do you like most? Any detail that caught your eyes?  I’d love to see the butcher block table in a streamlined contemporary kitchen…definitely on my wish list!

Yes it’s a clever idea isn’t it? I love to have a tidy kitchen, and this is a great solution to hide the clutter. Glad to see you here :)

Cristina,
These are stunning like everything you share. I like the third kitchen with the fireplace on the side. Somehow it exudes a sense of coziness even though it’s white. I don’t know if I would like messing with the doors to access the sink though!

Hi Sandra, good to see you here :)
It’s amazing how white interiors can be cosy too, isn’t it? It just depends on the details, and you can change the feeling of an interior quickly.
About the doors, I wouldn’t keep them closed all the time, for practical reasons, but they could come in handy to hide the mess!

I dont know what it is about exposed timber in minimalist white kitchens but it really does bring out the kitchen in general, could i just ask also what flooring is in the picture with the “red kilm runner”…..Thanks.

Hi there, the floor you refer to is a wooden floor – parquet – but I’m not sure which type of wood…maybe cherrywood (reddish tone).
