Lovely & original curtain tiebacks

by Cristina Colli

A few weeks ago I scoured Etsy to find a pair of curtain tiebacks I liked, and after much searching I found these lovely rose tiebacks from SwagMags:

They’re magnetic tiebacks, each made with a beautiful silk rose.

You can use them as traditional tieback, positioning the magnet so that it holds back only part of the curtains, but at the moment I like to gather my linen curtains at the centre, and leave the other see-through curtains visible. I quite like the effect.

These gorgeous magnetic tiebacks are available in other colours, and other shapes, including some cute ones for kids. Just by changing your tieback, you can update the look of your curtains in a cinch – simple and clever!

Cristina,
I love the rose tie backs. Do you have a lot more to do on the house or it it nearing completion?

Hi Angela,
I still need to buy a few items – bedside tables, coffee table, dining chairs…and some other accessories. It’ll take time though, because I’m looking for them in antique and second hand shops…but that’s all right, it’s all part of the fun :)

Why not try using hair bands or elastic bracelets as tiebacks? That’s what those rose bands remind me of – I bought Mrs Jason one for her birthday!

Try it – they can look really good!
