I have always had a thing for screens; I like the way they can create an intimate atmosphere in a bedroom, add a touch of mystery to a room, define a quiet angle for reading, relaxing, dining. Sticks, designed by Hsu-Li Teo & Stefan Kaiser, is a modular screen made of glass fibre, rubber, wood and felt. I like its contemporary design and its flexibility, and the play of light and shadow it creates in a room.
When illiminated by LED lights, Sticks creates intriguing, delicate effects on the ceiling.
