Style guide of the week: cosy felt accessories

by Cristina Colli

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? Here in Dublin, it’s November at its worst: grey and cold, with lashing rain and that kind of damp air that seeps under your skin and chills you to the bone. With weather like this, I like browsing for house accessories that look cosy and warm…and what’s cosier than felt?

Just look at these elegant chocolate brown felt cushions – don’t they make you feel warm and snug? I love their soft texture and clean design, and their lovely white motifs. You can find them on Etsy at Reyart’s shop.

Reya also makes beautiful felt table runners and place-mats; I love their muted colour and delicate stylised design, that makes them perfect for a contemporary interior.

And what about these felt bowls from FeltPlanet? Do you prefer the  lily bowls, cute and feminine, or the circular ones – more sober and masculine? No matter which one you like, they’re all perfect as catch-alls, for keys, cell phones,  jewellery, and more.

Finally, something fun and practical: felt slip-on coasters. With these coasters,  your guests can easily recognise their glass, and place it on every surface without fear of damaging it.  These colourful coasters could be original – and functional – Christmas presents, or house-warming gifts. Find them on Etsy at Dimmalimm’s shop.
