Where beauty lies, and an award

by Cristina Colli

What is beauty for you, and where do you find it?

Sometimes beauty speaks with a clear loud voice, and it’s easy to find.

Sometimes beauty whispers, and you have to look closer to see it.

Sometimes you see beauty.

Sometimes you touch beauty.

Sometimes you hear beauty.

Sometimes you  taste beauty.

Sometimes you smell beauty.

And sometimes you create beauty – with your actions, with your words, with your minds and with your hearts.

Several weeks ago I received the Beautiful Blogger Award from two beautiful souls: Angela and Patti.

Angela writes Powered by Intuition, a blog where she shares fresh ideas, tips and tools that can help you reach your highest potential by learning to develop your intuition.

Patti writes Lightspirited Being, and blogs about how to improve your life and get down-to-earth, practical results by working at the level of energy & consciousness.

I read Angela’s and Patti’s blogs to  find inspiration and learn new ways to live a better life, and I thank them both for giving me the award. As part of the award, I’m supposed to share  7  things you don’t know about me, so hear they are:

1 – I don’t own a TV, and don’t miss it at all.

2 – I like watching my favourite films more than once; I’ve watched The Ice Age, Ocean’s Eleven, The Matrix  and Lord of the Rings  so many times that I know most of the scripts by heart – well, maybe not Lord of the Rings ;)

3 – I’m intolerant to dairy products,  a real pity because I LOVE cheese…I only eat dairy occasionally, in small quantities, as a treat (shortbread cannot be given up!).

4 – I’m terrible at playing video games.

5 – I’m a fast and avid reader, and when I find a gripping story I spend all my free time reading.

6 – I love Japanese cuisine, but I don’t do sushi.

7 -  I’m crazy about hats, and sometimes I wish I lived a couple of centuries ago so I could wear fantastic, extravagant hats. Then I think of technology, and I’m glad I live in the 21st century :)

I’m also supposed to pass the award to 5 other bloggers,  but I cannot pick only 5… so I’m passing it on to all the beautiful bloggers who create beauty and inspire us: thank you! And thank you so much to you, my dear readers: whether you leave a comment, send me an email, read me every time or just this once, I thank you for making my blogging experience so beautiful and rewarding.

Hi Cristina,
You are definitely the perfect candidate for The Beautiful Blogger award! No wonder two of us awarded you! Your post are always filled with gorgeous photography and delicious recipes. I can thing of no one more deserving. Thank you for sharing such interesting info about yourself with us too.

I love that your crazy about hats. I wish I could wear hats, but I always feel rather conspicuous and silly. I do envy people who can wear them with confidence!

Thank you, Angela.

It’s not that easy to wear hats all the time, and I usually wear simple ones…especially because it’s not that easy to find the right coat or jacket for extravagant hats! But I’m working on it :)

I had a shiver up my spine going by the second photo. This is a beautiful photo essay! And those cookies — I just realized that I’m hungry.
